Meet Our Master: Frank Godressi 7th Dan

Frank Godressi is a passionate and committed member of the Lai Tae Kwon Do Club in Melton, where training has become both a personal pursuit and a family tradition. Inspired by his children’s involvement, Frank joined the club after watching his son Gavin and daughter Vanessa train — and has since kept pace with them in belt rankings. Frank Godressi is a dedicated 7th Dan black belt at Lai Tae Kwon Do Club in Melton, where he trains alongside his children under the guidance of Master Eddie Davies. His achievements in I.T.F. tournaments demonstrate his commitment to both the sport and the club community.

Under the guidance of Master Eddie Davies, Frank has earned his first-degree black belt and become a strong advocate for I.T.F. Tae Kwon Do. He actively participates in tournaments and demonstrations across Victoria and New South Wales, proudly bringing home numerous trophies. As a devoted student and ambassador, Frank continues to contribute to the growth and spirit of the Melton club, embodying the discipline and dedication of Tae Kwon Do both on and off the mats.

Frank Godressi, a passionate black belt at Lai Tae Kwon Do Club in Melton, trains with his children under Master Eddie Davies. His success in I.T.F. tournaments reflects his dedication to both the sport and the club community.

Sabum Colin McKenzie
Instructor

Sabum Colin began his Taekwon-Do journey in March 1982, training under Boosabum Phil Crowe in Rhee Taekwon-Do. He was awarded his Black Belt in August 1984 by Chong Chul Rhee.

In 1985, he began instructing at Islington, Newcastle, under the guidance of Mr. Phil Crowe.In 1988, Sabum Colin relocated to Melbourne, where he continued his training under Master Chong Hyup Rhee in Fitzroy. After a period away from the art beginning in 1992 to explore other martial arts disciplines, he returned to his foundation art in 2006. That year, he commenced training under Master Frank Godressi at Melton Lai CHITF in Victoria.

In 2013, Sabum Colin was entrusted with running a Lai Taekwon-Do branch in Rockbank, Victoria. He continues to lead this branch with dedication and commitment to this day.Sabum Colin's martial arts journey spans over four decades, marked by perseverance, leadership, and a passion for the art.Sabum Colin's longevity, dedication to teaching, and continued contributions to Taekwon-Do and valuable assets to our martial arts community.
